TOKYOPOP Inc. and Nickelodeon have teamed up to bring readers an exciting new Cine-Manga series-this one based on The Fairly OddParents, America's #1 show among kids 2-11. Composed of digital images directly from the animation, these full-color books will debut in March 2004. TOKYOPOP's growing Cine-Manga line is currently sold by retailers throughout the U.S., including major booksellers and mass merchants.
"We're delighted to bring the madcap hilarity of The Fairly OddParents to readers in the portable, full-color pages of Cine-Manga," said TOKYOPOP's Senior Editor, Cine-Manga, Elizabeth Hurchalla. "Not only will kids of all ages find a cool new way to enjoy the show, but they'll be able to take the action with them wherever they go."
The Fairly OddParents, which airs on Nickelodeon several times daily, is loaded with clever dialogue and slapstick comedy. According to Nielsen, more than 37 million monthly viewers tune in to catch the magical adventures of Timmy Turner, an average 10-year old kid who just happens to have fairy godparents! For most kids, having every wish granted would be a dream, but when the godparents are as wacky as these two, anything can happen... and it usually does. The result: Zany high jinks for Timmy and everyone around him.
The Fairly OddParents Cine-Manga is TOKYOPOP's latest addition to an exciting line that also includes Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron.
