Blockbuster offers free game rentals to next-gen gamers by

Interesting marketing technique seems bent on luring next-gen gamers to Blockbuster in hopes of return visits.
Blockbuster Inc. is offering a free game rental at any of its U.S. stores for consumers who have purchased a GameCube or Xbox videogame system.
The promotion runs from December 1 through January 31. All participants have to do is show a Blockbuster employee proof of purchase for the system they bought. The free five-day game rental must be for the system specified on the customer’s proof of purchase.
Blockbuser also announced plans to greatly increase its videogame rental library in the fourth quarter, including new titles for the next-generation systems.
