Platinum GBA on the way

New limited edition GBAs to commemorate their one-year anniversary will go on sale this June.

Due to its 5-million-unit-selling success in North America, and it's June birthday, Nintendo of America will be releasing a platinum-colored limited edition Game Boy Advance on June 3, 2002, with an MSRP of $79.95. Beat's "pink", doesn't it?

“Game Boy Advance is portable, wireless and offers quick entertainment--exactly what people are looking for today,” says Peter MacDougall, executive vice president, sales and marketing, Nintendo of America Inc. “As a symbol of the Game Boy Advance rapid ascent to 5 million units sold, the platinum Game Boy Advance is sure to be a prized collector’s item.”
