Mario, new Mem. Card, and Wave Bird set for release, and Eternal Darkness still on track.
Nintendo of America has given us an update on upcoming first/second-party products set for this summer and fall. Quite a few items many wished had come out already, have now been given 2002 U.S. release dates. In particular:
- Super Mario Sunshine, the next 3D action-adventure in the Mario franchise, will debut on Nintendo GameCube on August 26. - Rare's StafFox Adventures has indeed been officially delayed in the U.S. indefinitely for a fall 2002 release. - Silicon Knights' psychological thriller, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, is still on track for a June 24 release, with a retail price of $49.95. - Memory Card 251, slightly more than 4X the capacity of current Mem.Card 59s, will also go on sale June 24 at a price of $19.95. - The wireless Wave Bird Controller, using RF technology, for Nintendo GameCube will arrive, too, on June 24 with a price of $39.95.
Mario--good, Eternal Darkness--good, StarFox--BAD. More news as it breaks.
