EA Sports has shipped Knockout Kings 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube to retailers in North America.
This year’s boxing game adds Slugfest, a new style of gameplay that allows gamers to battle opponents in tournaments, which contain in-game milestones and rewards. Over 40 boxers are included in the game, including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis and Oscar De La Hoya. Players can also create their own boxer when using Career mode.
Larry Michael and Max Kellerman provide commentary and analysis and up to eight players can compete in the game’s tournament mode.
Knockout Kings 2003 is rated “T” (Teen) and carries an MSRP of $49.95.
