Sega of America announced that it has released Sonic Adventure DX Director’s Cut for the Nintendo GameCube to retailers in North America.
The reworked version of Sonic Adventure adds five hours of new game play, and a Mission mode, which contains 50 new tasks and the ability to unlock a dozen Sega Game Gear titles. A series of mini-games, 30 levels and six playable characters are also included. The game also takes advantage of Nintendo’s connectivity initiative by linking with the GBA games Sonic Pinball Party, Sonic Advance and Sonic Adventure 2 in order to provide gamers a chance to raise their own Chaos.
