Nintendo's $50 million marketing push ask gamers, "Who are you?"
Nintendo of America is launching a new $50.0 million ad campaign, which poses an interesting question, "Who are you?"
With Sony's "Live In Our World. Play In Yours" campaign, and EA's recent "Challenge Everything" push, Nintendo has jumped in line to become yet another video game company attempting to create a cool catch slogan. The lead part of the campaign will be a 60 second cinematic trailer that will trace Nintendo's video game legacy, over 500 extras were used in the creation of this portion of the campaign. The trailer will see play time in over 10,000 U.S theatres, eventually opening for movies such as The Matrix Revolutions. 30 and 15-second versions of the commercial will also appear on TV to help promote Super Mario Bros. 3: Super Mario Advance 4.
The print version of the campaign will feature famous historical figures with the faces of Nintendo mascots taped onto them.
The whole campaign is part of Nintendo's $100 million marketing push that will attempt to bring in a large number of sales during the holiday season.
