Elkware Inc creates american subsidiary

New wing will help company focus on mobile gaming.
Elkware Inc., a German developer and publisher whose credits include 1503 A.D. - The New World and Gem Jam, has announced the establishment of a subsidiary in the United States. Located in downtown New York, co-founder Nils Weitemeyer and U.S. Managing Director Dirk Nagel will lead and supervise the company's expansion into North America.
The establishment of a dedicated North American headquarters will allow elkware to focus on offering mobile games to the American market.
"We see our American subsidiary as a logical step towards supplying the North American market with our extensive portfolio of games," says Dirk Nagel, U.S. Managing Director. "We want American providers and consumers to benefit from the expertise we have gained over our nine years in the European market. There is a lot of potential in this market and we are looking forward to the challenge."
