Ubisoft and Alienware team up to promote XIII

Players can win one of "13" Alienware systems.
Ubisoft and Alienware have announced a co-marketing partnership in support of Ubisoft's action-shooter, XIII. The highlight of the collaboration features a promotional campaign where XIII fans can win one of 13 Alienware Aurora gaming systems, each system valued at $2000. XIII is a conspiracy-driven thriller set in a stylized graphic-novel world and is scheduled to release on all consoles and the PC this fall. The XIII/Alienware promotion will run from November 13 through March 13, 2004. Alienware will support the promotion with an online campaign on its Website. Additionally, Ubisoft will support the campaign with newsletter, Website visibility with PR support. Following the launch of XIII, Alienware will create a customized downloadable map that will be available through an online patch. The Alienware-designed map is just one of the many exclusive downloadable content items planned following the game's launch. Additional plans for downloadable content include special storylines, alternate endings and new gameplay modes and features.
In addition to the single-player experience, XIII features several multiplayer modes along with the classic Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag modes. The "Power Up" mode is a custom Deathmatch multiplayer mode, which includes unique pick-ups, including "invincibility" and "invisibility." In the "Hunt" mode, players chase a running target throughout the map, gaining points by hitting the target. "Sabotage" is a team multiplayer mode, where two teams compete to take control of different strategic points in the map. Players are able to compete online with Xbox Live, Sony Online and via Ubisoft's Game Service for the PC.
