Husband and daughter cheer for her all along the way.
After 2 days of hard gaming, the winner of the Yahoo! Games-Marshall Field’s Digital Domination Sweepstakes and Tournament has been decided, and it's a she, who happens to be a housewife.
Maria Rubin, 26, of Round Lake, IL was crowned the winner after mounting a stunning victory coming from behind in day two of the tournament. Despite winning only one out of six rounds in day one, Mrs. Rubin stormed into the lead on day two, winning four consecutive rounds enabling her to clench the lead. The event, held at Marshall Fields’ State Street store in Chicago, pushed the competitors to their limits as they dueled head to head to achieve the highest scores in three different online video games available on Yahoo! Mrs. Rubin was joined by her husband and eight-month old daughter to accept the title of Yahoo! Games Digital Dominator and was awarded a grand prize package that includes: • An Alienware custom Area-51 desktop computer with 18” monitor and peripherals; • More than 30 hot PC game titles (exact titles to be selected by Sponsor); • An unlimited one-year subscription to Yahoo! Games on Demand; • One-year subscription to SBC Yahoo! DSL; and, • A Marshall Field's Gift Card.
