Nyko product shines at CES in Las Vegas.
Nyko Technologies earned an award at CES for its flagship product, the Wireless Net Extender, a wireless ethernet adaptor for game consoles. Nyko's product has been deemed an Innovations 2004 Design and Engineering Showcase winner at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and honoree for the "Technology is a Girl's Best Friend" contest held by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
The Innovations program at CES, the world's largest annual trade show for consumer technology, praised Nyko's Wireless Net Extender as an inventive electronic gaming product in its design and engineering. The awards are judged by a panel of top designers, engineers and journalists reviewing user value, aesthetics and original design.
Nyko's product was also recognized by the CEA, a group that produces CES, for the TechGirl Product Showcase. The Wireless Net Extender was applauded for its ease-of-use and benefits for female consumers. Two products in each category were chosen from more than 300 entries by a panel of style and technology journalists.
"We are thrilled to have the Wireless Net Extender honored as a pioneer in gaming," Susan Corben, director of marketing, Nyko Technologies, said. "The word is getting out that Nyko's product is completely plug-and-play and perfect for home use." Nyko's Wireless Net Extender puts broadband Internet in any room of the house, without cables or software installation. The product comes pre-encrypted, so setup can be completed in under sixty seconds. The Wireless Net Extender is ideally suited for online gaming on any console but can be used with laptops and printers, too. Available in major retail outlets and consumer electronic stores, the Wireless Net Extender carries a suggested retail price of $99.99.
