Inon Zur (http://www.inonzur.com), the award-winning composer whose game credits include SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALS, Icewind Dale II, Baldur’s Gate II: Throne Of Bhaal and Champions Of Norrath: Realms Of EverQuest (upcoming Spring 2004), has composed the music soundtrack for Microid’s SYBERIA II (www.syberia2.info), the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed adventure game.
Lead Designer Stéphane Blais said, "I think that what best illustrates the power of Inon Zur’s composition is that the production team often hums the SYBERIA II theme music", while SYBERIA II sound designer Michael Elman attested, "Anchored with an orchestral cinematic backdrop, Inon masterfully blended music and instrumentation from Eastern Europe with indigenous Eastern tribal music to create SYBERIA II’s soundtrack. The result is the most intellectually and emotionally driven game score I have heard yet."
Inon Zur composes and produces award-winning dramatic orchestral music for film, television and game soundtracks. In games, Zur’s music for Icewind Dale II was nominated for 2002 Music of the Year by the Game Audio Network Guild and 2002 Soundtrack of the Year by Game Industry News. GameSpot described his score as "a stirring, impressive symphonic soundtrack filled with soaring strings…Inon Zur does a truly fantastic job", and IGN praised his talent for composing "movie quality music". Zur has also been honored by G4: TV for excellence in cinematic music for games and his epic orchestral score for Baldur’s Gate II: Throne Of Bhaal was recognized in the GameSpy Best Music Awards.
Upon graduating from the Dick Grove School of Music and UCLA in Los Angeles, Zur began his professional musical career scoring for FOX TV prime-time television series and feature films including Escaflowne, State Of Grace, Big Guy & Rusty The Boy Robot, Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog, Au Pair, Au Pair 2, St. Patrick: The Irish Legend, North Face, Casper: A Spirited Beginning, Rusty: The Great Rescue, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, as well as scoring hundreds of episodes of Digimon for ABC and Jacqueline Susann’s mini TV series Valley Of The Dolls (New World International).
