"Contracts" will be Kyd's third time working on the Hitman series.
Jesper Kyd is following up his work on the award-winning soundtracks for IO Interactive’s Hitman series and Freedom Fighters (recipient of GameSpot’s 2003 Best Original Music in a Game Award) with an entirely new original score for Hitman: Contracts. Music composed and produced by Kyd is also featured in the debut movie trailer for Hitman: Contracts.
"The Hitman: Contracts score follows the dark, sinister nature of the third Hitman game", said Kyd, who previously scored Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and its predecessor Hitman: Codename 47. "The soundtrack is a dark and adventurous score mixed with suspenseful electronica elements", he added. Kyd has written more than 90 minutes of original music for Hitman: Contracts.
Jesper Kyd is the leading video game composer whose critically acclaimed music features on best-selling titles for Activision, BioWare, Eidos, Electronic Arts, Konami, Sega, Shiny, and Microsoft. His credits include Freedom Fighters, Hitman 2, Brute Force, Minority Report, MDK2, Messiah and other A list releases.
Kyd is composing music for McFarlane's Evil Prophecy (Konami) and recently returned from recording sessions in Budapest and Paris where he recorded with an 89-piece orchestra and 60-piece choir for an unannounced project. Jesper Kyd currently lives and works in New York and is represented by Bob Rice of the Four Bars Intertainment agency. More information is available at http://www.jesperkyd.com.
