VU will distribute Konami PC games in 2004.

Leading videogame publisher Konami Digital Entertainment - America, and Vivendi Universal Games today announced an exclusive distribution agreement in which VU Games will distribute Konami's widespread roster of PC games in the United States and Canada. The publishing and marketing efforts for the games covered by the agreement will continue to be performed by KDEA's Redwood City, CA office.

"Combining VU Games' unmatched PC distribution capabilities and Konami's extensive library of hit PC titles, including Winning Eleven 7, Silent Hill 3, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we're well positioned to deliver compelling, fun and unique titles that cater to gamers of all ages."

Scheduled for launch in Spring 2004, Konami's critically acclaimed soccer game World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International(tm) will be the first title under the new agreement. Other Konami franchises distributed by VU Games include: Winning Eleven 7, Frogger's Adventures: The Rescue, Apocalyptica, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Kaiba The Revenge.

"Konami has some of the most established brands in the games industry, and we anticipate a strong reception for their PC titles," said Luc Vanhal, President and COO, North America for VU Games.
