Game industry veterans try hand at consulting.
Game industry veterans Matt Firme (former Vice President/Editorial Director of Future Network USA) and Mike Salmon (formerly Editor in Chief of Future's Official Xbox Magazine) today announced that they have founded The Big Solutions Group LLC, a consultancy created to serve publishers, developers, and marketers across the gaming space.
Between them, Firme and Salmon have created cover packages that have sold 60 million magazines to videogame consumers over the last decade, and have built renowned communities of evangelical readers. They've been key opinion-makers since 1989 and 1993, respectively, and have worked with every game platform since the NES.
"We have combined our knowledge of consumers, our passion for games, and our media experience to create a service that helps game companies connect with customers," Mike Salmon said. "We left Future to form Big Solutions because we wanted to get out from behind the editor's desk and get directly involved -- to offer our unique experience in a way that could directly result in better games that sell more copies."
The Big Solutions Group specializes in Game Consulting, Creative Services, and Marketing Strategies. The company also serves as a point of contact for individuals and companies looking to break into the game space.
"We want The Big Solutions Group to be the agency our industry turns to for individualized, game-specific and goal-specific services," said Matt Firme. "We look at gaming from a hard-core consumer-marketing standpoint, from a PR and creative standpoint, and with real historical context. We're serious about doing whatever it takes to deliver bottom-line solutions to the game industry."
