by Jolex Del Pilar

Tuesday, March 23, 2004

Looks like we'll see Bomberman on cell phones, yo.

Hudson Entertainment, a division of Hudson Soft, today announced its presence in the North American market. Hudson Entertainment aims to launch its products and expand the Hudson name in North America. Hudson Entertainment draws on experience gained in Japan, where Hudson Soft is the #1 game content provider for i-Mode, the platform for Japanese cell phone leader NTT DoCoMo.

This month, Hudson Entertainment plans to announce partnerships with major carriers, and will be available for interviews in booth #4975D in the M-tertainment Pavilion at the CTIA Wireless conference in Atlanta on March 22nd through 24th.

“With technological know-how and experience attained in the Japanese wireless market, Hudson Entertainment is poised to become a leader in North America,” said John Greiner, president of Hudson Entertainment. “We have a catalogue of fun games, including 'Bomberman,' 'Adventure Island,' and 'Burger Time,' and the technology to bring them to wireless. Through partnerships with major carriers, Hudson’s games will be available on phones across America.”

At the CTIA conference, Hudson is showcasing the following titles:
* "Adventure Island"
* "Bomberman"
* "Burger Time"
* "Lode Runner"
* "Star Soldier"
* "Tennis Challenge"
