Hudson Entertainment today announced The Source Mobile Channel. Hip-Hop fans can now connect to a whole new benchmark in ringtone destinations - The Source Mobile Channel.
The Source Mobile is aimed at Hip-Hop music fans - a huge audience in North America and abroad. This catalog, currently containing hundreds of songs and growing, is the first dedicated, purely Hip-Hop ringtone collection.
A wealth of additional content is available with the ringtones. In addition to excerpts of selected magazine articles and The Source's signature record reviews, there is a daily Hip-Hop news area updated each business day. Fans can download wallpaper featuring their favorite recording artists or test their knowledge of Hip-Hop in a trivia game. Select trivia game contests will also include prizes for winners. Hudson will be offering different feature sets on 38 handsets; check with your wireless carrier to see if and how your phone is supported.
"We are delighted to be working with the best music: Hip-Hop, and the best musical partner: The Source," said John Greiner, president of Hudson Entertainment. "With The Source Mobile, Hip-Hop fans are going to receive a lot more enjoyment from their cell phones."
"With their huge experience in the Japanese market, Hudson was an easy choice for us," explained David Mays, Co-Founder and CEO of The Source Enterprises, Inc. "Hudson's expertise in the mobile space has made our expansion to wireless media easy."
The Source is available today on select phones from Midwest Wireless, NTELOS, and Verizon Wireless with more carriers being added in the next 30 days. The product is being supported by a print advertising campaign including The Source Magazine and other marketing activities and promotions.
