LucasArts has announced that a videogame based on the 2005 motion picture, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, is currently in the works and will launch two weeks before the movie on May 5, 2005.
Star Wars: Episode III is a third-person action/adventure in which players can “control all the Jedi abilities of both Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, including devastating Force powers and advanced lightsaber techniques involving robust combo attacks and defensive maneuvers.” Additionally, thanks to the help of famed Star Wars stunt coordinator Nick Gillard, LucasArts claims the game will have “the most authentic lightsaber combat ever with choreography taken directly from the films as well as many new stunts created exclusively for the game under the auspices of Gillard.”
Star Wars fanatics can view a “behind-the-scenes” preview of the videogame on the upcoming DVD release of the Star Wars Trilogy on September 21, 2004.
