New look, more media for upcoming games.
Codemasters announced today a new look for its online community with several updates to its official Web site. Located at http://www.codemasters.com and tailored to individual international territories, the site is home to more one million registered members and garners over 20 million page impressions each month. The front page highlights the latest headline games and news, allowing visitors to visit game-specific micro sites and browse dedicated sections for Downloads, News, the E-Store, Cheats, Code M (Codemasters’ dedicated community section) and the newly added Video Box. The Video Box provides visitors with immediate access to streaming videos via on-screen players. Currently, users can check out the latest videos for Colin McRae Rally 2005, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II and the new “Gimmicks” video for Second Sight, which showcases a wide variety of bizarre psychic power tricks. In addition to streams, movies can also be downloaded in full from the Downloads section, which also plays home to screenshots, game demos and upgrades, desktop accessories and e-toys.
