ESPN Videogames has confirmed that ESPN NFL 2K5 has gone gold and will be shipping to retail on July 20 for the Xbox and PlayStation 2.
ESPN NFL 2K5 promises to "deliver the most responsive and intense football gameplay yet." One of the game's more intriguing features, The V.I.P. System, allows players to save an opponent's profile (whether online or offline) so that they can "compete against them whenever they want." ESPN claims that the game "plays exactly how friends play-even when they're not there!"
Rated "E" (Everyone), ESPN NFL 2K5 will retail for the bargain price of $19.99, while its main competiton, EA's Madden NFL 2005, is expected to ship in early August for an estimated price of $49.99.
