Superscape claims mobile rights for Fight Club game.
U.K.-based Superscape Group plc today announced that it has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with 20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising to develop a new 3D mobile game based on the movie Fight Club.
20th Century Fox will receive a share of Superscape's revenues for downloads of the game, according to the terms of the deal.
In Fight Club, which "will be developed using Superscape's JSR 184 compliant Swerve software and will be available for download from all major networks to both Java and Brew handsets," players must try to defeat Tyler Durden and prevent a "Fight Club pandemonium from breaking out." The game also includes a "ghost fighter" multiplayer mode.
Kevin Roberts, CEO Superscape Group plc, said, "I am delighted that Superscape is continuing to work with one of the giants of the entertainment industry with the award of the mobile rights for Fight Club by Fox. This game literally packs a lot of punches. It combines great graphics with fast-paced gameplay and should prove to be very popular with consumers throughout the world."
