Jenson Button will endorse system, and star in game.
Gizmondo Europe Ltd, a series of owned subsidiaries of Tiger Telematics, Inc., has announced that Britain's Formula One star, Jenson Button, has endorsed and will be featured in Chicane, an upcoming racing game for the Gizmondo device. Chicane will allow players to challenge Button on the tarmac or to race as the Formula One expert himself. The arcade-style racing game will also take advantage of Gizmondo's Bluetooth capabilities to enable wireless multiplayer with up to four people. Thomas Fessler, CEO, developer Handheld Games, said, "Jenson's new game, mixed with the unrivalled performance of the Gizmondo device, offers a pure 3D driving experience to the on-the-go gamer. This will completely revolutionise the way people view portable entertainment." Chicane's release date was not given. The Gizmondo handheld is expected to launch in the U.K. this fall.
