New mobile web service gives sports news access courtesy of Fox Sports Interactive.
Verizon Wireless today announced its new Mobile Web 2.0 service, which features "unlimited access to sports scores, news, schedules and standings," courtesy of FOX Sports Interactive Media and Sorrent, Inc.
Verizon Wireless customers can register for Mobile Web 2.0 directly from compatible headsets. Once signed up ($4.99 monthly, plus airtime), users can simply click on the Sports link on the new Mobile Web 2.0 menu to retrieve any sports information they wish.
Ross Levinsohn, senior vice president and general manager of FOX Sports Interactive Media, said, "Mobile Web 2.0 from Verizon Wireless provides the array of Fox Sports wireless products and allows the consumer to experience sports in a whole new way." Currently, Mobile Web 2.0 is available on Verizon's new LG VX7000 camera phone and on the LG VX4500.
