E3 2004: Taiwan to hold Game Pavillion at E3

Four companies will showcase software of different platforms.
For the first time, the country of Taiwan will be hosting a Taiwan Game Pavilion for its developers. The Taiwan Game Pavilion consists of four Taiwan game companies: EASYFUN, InterServ, Lager, and XPEC. Not only can visitors arrange meetings with the exhibitors they want to meet, the pavilion also offers information on Taiwan's game industry.
EASYFUN, a leading developer of Internet entertainment software for PC and video game console systems, one of the world's leading Internet digital content and completed MMOG solutions provider. Based in Taipei, Taiwan, it was founded in 2004 to provide Internet online solution and digital content. In addition to its technological advantage, EASYFUN has experienced teams who constantly analyze the market trends, and provide professional consulting to partners. EASYFUN will present, a new 3D real-time oriental fantasy game, at E3 2004. Gamers will experience a much faster and stable gaming environment than any other games they've played before.
InterServ was formed in 1989, near the dawn of the multimedia revolution. The staff at InterServ is constantly striving to explore the uses of new technologies in order to meet and exceed market expectations. InterServ relies on its high technology and experience in development to design online games for console, PC and MMOG platforms. In addition, InterServ offers a wide variety of art production services to development and publishing houses in the US, Europe, and Japan. With a 150-strong production facility located in Shanghai, China, and international standard process control, InterServ is able to offer top-quality art production at a substantial savings over domestic art houses. There will be two games being presented this time: "Iron Phoenix," an Xbox Live game in which players can take up to 16 people and team up to fight each other simultaneously. "M2," a PC MMOG with three unique features that differentiate itself from the traditional MMOG, the Real Estate Housing System, the Group Combo-Attack System, and the Mecca (Robot) System.
Lager Interactive Inc., established in April 1999, has been one of the most successful online game publishers and developers in Asia and has set quite many records in the online game industry of Taiwan and Mainland China. With a professional team of programmers and artists, Lager produces the highest quality online games, which made them very popular in Asia. Lager will present three online games at E3 2004 in Los Angeles: "Fairyland," a cutesy style game which received the Best Online Game Prize for Greater China's Game Star Contest & Award in February 6, 2004. "Mystina Online," a cute and user-friendly Oriental game, which has a unique riding system and summon system; "King of Kings 2," new edition of King of Kings, the first online game published in Asia in 1999 and won the prize of "No.1 On-line Games" for the National Society of Software Industry in PROC, 2001.
XPEC Entertainment is the leading game software developer for video game consoles in Greater China and provides quality game production services in art, design, and programming (including engines & editing tools). XPEC not only has the only non-Japanese-Asian developed game, "EX-Chaser," which is published in Japan, North America, and Europe, but also has an Xbox Live game called "Daemon Vector."
