Tantalus Interactive opens office in Kuala Lumpur

New studio will develop mobile games for wireless devices.
Australia-based Tantalus Interactive has announced the opening of a new office located in Kuala Lumpur.
The new studio is a joint venture between Tantalus and the Malaysian media company eTouch Globiz and will focus on the creation of entertainment for wireless devices. Tantalus Asia's ten employees have already begun work on a series of new products. Twenty additional employees are expected to join the company by the end of the year.
Tantalus Asia has secured contracts with three leading telecommunications companies in the area and has also secured a “major television IP.” Interactive television and Nokia’s N-Gage will be other targets of the new venture as well.
