PC series should be on PS2 consoles by the Fall says EA.
Electronic Arts and developer Digital Illusions informed VGLN.com today that the companies will bring a version of the popular Battlefield franchise to the PlayStation 2 this fall.
Battlefield: Modern Combat will be set in an era that seems to draw from both the present and the near future, and will serve up over 30 vehicles to control, more than 70 weapons and three different military powers to play as—United States, Chinese, or the Middle East Coalition.
Up to 24 players will be able to compete against each other when using a PS2 Network Adapter.
Surprisingly, the game will come in the form of a persistent online element, in which players will be able to advance in rank depending on their online, in-game success.
