Company expects full year operating profits to increase.
Square Enix Co., Ltd. has increased both profit and revenue expectations for its 2003/2004 fiscal year, which ended March 31.
The company now expects full year operating profit to be a record 19.0 billion yen (approximately $176.16 million U.S.), up from the previously expected 14.4 billion yen (approximately $133.51 million U.S.), with revenues of 63.0 billion yen (approximately $584.12 million U.S.), versus earlier eyed revenues of 56.0 billion yen (approximately $519.28 million U.S.).
Square Enix also expects net profit to rise, from 8.1 billion yen (approximately $75.11 million U.S.) to the latest guidance of 8.7 billion yen (approximately $80.67 million U.S.).
The firm cited strong sales of Final Fantasy XI, Dragon Quest V and Final Fantasy X-2, along with increased sales in its comic book and magazine divisions, as reasons for the brighter outlook.
