New ad spots will feature showcase in 30 second shorts.
Nintendo of America informed VGLN.com today that the company will add to its “Who Are You?” GameCube and Game Boy Advance advertising campaigns with a series of spots, created by Leo Burnett USA, launching this week.
The GameCube will be showcased in two 30-second and four-fifteen second ad spots entitled “Interviewer,” which will debut this week. The ads feature a “a guy in a therapist's office who appears to be living out the personalities and experiences of characters within Nintendo GameCube games.”
Another spot set to launch this week is titled “Freeboy” and trumpets the GBA. Set to music from Goldfrapp, the spots illustrate “how Game Boy Advance has untethered a generation from their gaming consoles and has "freed" them to enjoy Nintendo games anywhere and everywhere.”
A similarly themed print ad campaign will kick off on April 28 in ESPN Magazine, before advancing to a variety of men’s, music and alternative pubs in June and July.
