Relive the glory of Prussia's Frederick the Great.
Shrapnel Games, in conjunction with Boku Strategy Games, would like to formally announce Dragoon: The Prussian War Machine for the Windows OS. Sequel to the Charles S. Roberts award-winning Horse and Musket (also published by Shrapnel Games), and first in an exciting new series of games under the Horse and Musket 2 banner, Dragoon: The Prussian War Machine is slated for release in late June but is now available for pre-order for only $39.95.
While Horse and Musket could be considered a survey wargame of the 18th century battlefield, Dragoon: The Prussian War Machine focuses entirely on the campaigns of one of history's most brilliant military leaders, Frederick the Great of Prussia. Players will be allowed to travel back in time through the miracle of PC gaming and relive the glory of Prussia's zenith. With over twenty scenarios to choose from, including such famous battles as Kolin and Chotusitz, players will face off against the armies of Saxony, Austria, and Bavaria, battling across beautifully rendered landscapes that change to the season.
Like its predecessor Dragoon: The Prussian War Machine will remain turn-based, with its emphasis on command and control. Those armies comprised of strong willed leaders and fearless troops will be poised to carry the day, ready to crush their opponents who don't quite measure up to their standards. Unit activation is entirely dependent on leadership initiative and troop morale, meaning that players will have to think like their counterparts from hundreds of years ago, not simply try to create a Hussar rush.
For more information on Dragoon: The Prussian War Machine please visit its homepage located at ttp://www.shrapnelgames.com/boku/dragoon/1.htm. Remember, you can pre-order it now for $39.95, which is $5.00 off it's full retail price.
