Kuma\War has launched a pack of three tactical exercises designed for multiplayer and created by Kuma military advisor Staff Sergeant Dan Snyder and a team of award winning multiplayer map designers.
Kuma\War’s latest release demonstrates basic military squad tactics and scenarios including ambushes and challenges in different types of terrain. Each of the three mission maps in the multiplayer pack features detailed tactical commentary from Sergeant Snyder to prepare players prior to embarking on each tactical situation.
The first map, Patrol Ambush re-creates a typical ambush situation that U.S. troops might experience. Players are lured into a ‘”kill-sack” (trap) and learn the tactics required to survive. The other maps, Desert Town and Coastline focus on challenges soldiers face due to varying terrain and climate. Players learn squad-based tactics and how to adapt them to a wide range of physical and man-made geographies.
“Sergeant Dan Snyder, formerly of the US Marine Modeling and Simulation Management Office, was the creator of Marine Doom, and has first-and knowledge of how the military uses game-like simulations,” said Keith Halper, CEO, Kuma Reality Games. “Kuma\War brings these tools out of military labs and puts them into the hands of the American public.”
In the coming weeks, subscribers can expect to receive more missions that further explore the explosive situation in Iraq leading up to the June 30 hand-over of power, including missions in Fallujah and in Baghdad’s Sadr City. Kuma will also respond to breaking news events as they occur around the world.
Kuma\War is available online for free download and trial with no credit card required at www.kumawar.com or can be purchased for a $9.99 monthly subscription fee. As a salute to the men and women in uniform who have served their countries, Kuma Reality Games will donate $1 of all paid subscriptions to The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which was created to assist the families of the nation's fallen heroes killed in duty.
