NDL announced today, from the 2004 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), that Gamebryo is being used by Mad Doc Software in the creation of Empire Earth 2.
Gamebryo provides the graphics engine and tools to help companies like Mad Doc generate 3D graphics for the PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube without sacrificing development time.
NDL's publisher license with Vivendi Universal Games covers all major game platforms. Mad Doc Software is the first of several developers to use Gamebryo under Vivendi Universal Games' license with NDL. Empire Earth 2 is due for release in 2005 and will showcase Gamebryo's ability to create unique and compelling interactive content for a real-time PC strategy game.
"Vivendi Universal Games and Mad Doc have experienced great success with the release of Empire Earth and we're thrilled to be part of the sequel," said John Austin, president and chief executive officer of NDL. "We are seeing a growing number of publishers approaching us about Gamebryo because of its proven history of reducing the overall production risks and costs associated with cutting-edge game development."
