InfraBasic, a boutique cross-border technology marketing firm, announced today that it will establish the first official online hosting site in Asia for the world-renowned America's Army PC game (http://www.americasarmy.com).
InfraBasic plans to establish data centers and marketing organizations to offer hosting services, game support for online communities, and sponsored tournaments throughout the Asia Pacific region. So doing, InfraBasic will be the first firm to work with America's Army's new middleware codenamed Andromeda. By authenticating player data with Andromeda, InfraBasic will be able to establish "official" game instances for its customers so that game play on InfraBasic servers is conducted under the same rules found on U.S. Army servers. With this feature, InfraBasic's customers will be able to gain standing and honor points necessary to advance in the America's Army game. By combining proximity to America's Army fans in Asia with high-speed telecommunications links, InfraBasic will bring the fast-paced and realistic gameplay of one of the world's most popular games to the region's avid game players. As a first step, IB Online, a subsidiary of InfraBasic, has been established in Seoul to market hosting services, sponsor tournaments, and grow the population of America's Army enthusiasts. According to Bob Dillon, President, InfraBasic plans future hosting services for Japan, Taiwan,Singapore, Hong Kong, India and China, and welcomes interest from gamers, online communities, PC cafes, marketing partners and investors.
