Mobile developer claims 300,000 downloads in 2004.
German-based wireless publisher Mobile Scope says that it recently wrapped up its first profitable quarter since it launched in 2001.
The company said that first quarter 2004 fiscal year revenues were up over 310.0 percent in year-over-year results, and 50.0 percent over the fourth quarter of FY 2003. Results in the just-completed quarter were buoyed by European shipments of mobile games such as Moorhen Kart 2004 and RTL Ski Jumping 2004.
Using first quarter results as a basis, Mobile Scope is eying revenues of 5.0 million euros (approximately $6.1 million U.S.) for the full 2004 fiscal year. The publisher also added that it “generated about 300,000 downloads of Java-based mobile games, thousands of subscribers for permanent services and millions of pre-loaded games in handsets” during its first quarter.
Mobile Scope has a U.S. office in Century City, California.
